Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how TNC FlipBook, a product brand operated by ThemeNcode LLC ("ThemeNcode," "we," "our," "us"), collects and uses your personal data when you visit tncflipbook.com or use our products. It covers what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and what rights you have to control it.
This page works alongside our Terms and Conditions and License Policy.
Plain-English summary. We collect what we need to sell you our plugins, give you support, and run a small business: your name and email, payment info via Stripe (we never see your card number), basic account data, and standard website analytics. We do not sell your data to anyone. You can ask us at any time to show you, correct, or delete what we hold.

3. How we use your data
We use the data described above for the following purposes:
- Selling and delivering our products. Processing orders, issuing license keys, providing access to downloads, handling refunds, and managing renewals.
- Account and license management. Authenticating you to your account, displaying your licenses and downloads, and processing license activations and deactivations.
- Customer support. Responding to tickets and emails you send us, investigating issues, and following up on conversations.
- Email communication. Sending transactional emails (purchase receipts, license-renewal reminders, security and policy notices) that you cannot opt out of for as long as you are an active customer, and marketing emails (product updates, tips, promotional offers) that you can unsubscribe from at any time.
- Site analytics and improvement. Understanding how visitors use our site so we can improve it, fix problems, and decide what to build next.
- Fraud prevention and security. Detecting and blocking abuse, automated attacks, license-key sharing, and other misuse of our products and infrastructure.
- Legal compliance. Meeting our tax, accounting, anti-money-laundering, and similar legal obligations, and responding to lawful requests from authorities.
4. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction that requires a documented legal basis for processing personal data, the bases we rely on are:
- Performance of a contract. Processing necessary to sell you our products, deliver downloads, manage your license, and provide support.
- Legitimate interests. Improving our products and site, preventing fraud, securing our infrastructure, and pursuing limited marketing to existing customers (always with an unsubscribe option).
- Consent. Marketing emails to people who are not yet customers, and non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that already occurred.
- Legal obligation. Tax records, accounting records, and responses to lawful requests.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar browser storage technologies to operate the site and understand how it is used. Cookies fall into three categories:
| Category | Purpose | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Required for the site and shopping cart to work. Cannot be disabled. | Session cookies, login state, cart contents, security tokens, Cloudflare protection. |
| Performance & analytics | Help us understand how visitors use the site, which pages are popular, and where things break. | Anonymised analytics that count page views and aggregate visit patterns. No third-party advertising trackers. |
| Functional | Remember your preferences (such as your language or recent products). | Preference cookies, embedded font preferences. |
You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies will break parts of the site such as logging in and completing a purchase.
6. Service providers and third parties
We share data with third-party service providers only to the extent needed for them to perform a service for us. We do not sell your personal data and we do not rent it to anyone.
Our current service providers include:
| Provider | What it does for us | Data shared |
|---|---|---|

If we add or change a major service provider, we will update this list and date the change at the top of the page. We may also disclose your data when required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ThemeNcode, our customers, or others.
7. International data transfers
ThemeNcode is based in the United States and our service providers may store and process data in the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, India, and other countries depending on their infrastructure.
When personal data of EEA, UK, or Swiss residents is transferred outside those jurisdictions, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms recognised under applicable law, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and, where applicable, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
8. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes described above, or as required by law. Indicative retention periods:
- Account data: for the lifetime of your account. You can request deletion at any time (see section 9).
- Order and tax records: at least 7 years after the transaction date, as required by US tax law.
- License activation history: for as long as the license is active, plus 12 months after termination for fraud-prevention and accounting reconciliation.
- Support tickets: 3 years after the last reply, then archived or anonymised.
- Marketing data: until you unsubscribe, after which we keep a minimal record of your unsubscribe so we do not accidentally re-add you.
- Analytics and server logs: typically up to 14 months, then aggregated.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights regarding personal data we hold about you:
- Access. Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction. Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion ("right to be forgotten"). Ask us to delete your data, subject to records we are legally required to keep (such as tax records).
- Restriction. Ask us to pause processing in certain cases.
- Portability. Receive a structured, machine-readable copy of data you provided to us and ask us to transmit it to another provider.
- Objection. Object to processing based on legitimate interests, including direct marketing.
- Withdraw consent. Where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting processing that already happened.
- Complain to a regulator. Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We would prefer that you contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue.
To exercise any of these rights, email cs@tncflipbook.com from the email address associated with your account. We may ask for additional verification to confirm your identity before acting on a request. We will respond within 30 days, or sooner where required by law.
You can also update your account information and email preferences directly from your account dashboard, and unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link present in every marketing email we send.
10. Notice for California residents
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the CPRA:
- Right to know. Request disclosure of the categories of personal data we have collected, the sources, the purposes, and the third parties we shared it with.
- Right to delete. Request deletion of personal data we hold, subject to the same legal exceptions described in section 9.
- Right to correct. Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal data in the meaning of the CCPA, so there is nothing to opt out of. If this ever changes, we will provide a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link.
- Right to non-discrimination. We will not deny services, charge different prices, or provide a lower quality of service because you exercised any of these rights.
To exercise your CCPA rights, contact us at cs@tncflipbook.com.
11. Data security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including HTTPS/TLS encryption for data in transit, encrypted storage at rest, restricted internal access on a need-to-know basis, password hashing for account credentials, and isolation of payment data with our PCI-compliant payment processor.
No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach that affects your personal data and is likely to result in a high risk to your rights, we will notify you and the relevant authorities within the timelines required by law.
12. Children's privacy
Our products and services are not directed to children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at cs@tncflipbook.com and we will delete it.
13. Data processed by our plugin on your site
This Privacy Policy covers data we collect about you as a visitor to tncflipbook.com and as a customer of ThemeNcode. It does not govern data that our plugin processes on your own WordPress site once you install it.
When TNC FlipBook 3D runs on your site, your readers' interactions with FlipBooks (page views, lead-capture submissions, analytics events, watermark identifiers from the Stamper addon, AI chat queries from the Chatbot addon, and similar) are processed under your privacy notice and your responsibility as the data controller of your own site. You are responsible for providing your readers with the appropriate disclosures, obtaining consent where required, and honouring data-subject rights for data your site collects.
The plugin transmits the following data back to ThemeNcode infrastructure:
- License activation pings. Your site URL and license key, to validate that your license is active. We log these requests for fraud prevention.
- Update check pings. Your site URL and currently installed version, to determine if an update is available.
- Optional anonymous usage data, if you have opted in during plugin setup. Telemetry only; no FlipBook content or reader data is sent.
No FlipBook content, no reader data, no email-list submissions, and no AI chat queries are transmitted to ThemeNcode from your site. Those flows go directly from your site to the third-party service you configured (Mailchimp, Brevo, your AI provider, etc.) under that service's own privacy terms.
14. Third-party links
Our site and our documentation link to third-party websites (such as WordPress.org, addon-provider websites, and partner pages). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We recommend you read each site's own privacy policy before submitting personal data to it.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make a change that materially affects your rights or the way we process your data, we will notify registered account holders by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Minor clarifications and updates to the service-provider list take effect when posted.
